On September 5 at six in the morning, the house of the Nykytenko farmers in the village of Oleksandrivka near Melitopol shuddered from a rumble. Seven Russian occupants broke into Lyudmila and Leonid's house. The couple and Leonid’s 74-year-old mother were separated into different rooms. They waved some kind of printout from the Internet and eventually forcibly took 47-year-old Lyudmila from her home.

For the second week now, the husband and daughter are trying to find the captured farmer.

Lyudmila wasn’t hiding her pro-Ukrainian views. She was sharing the patriotic posts of other contributors and wrote comments criticizing the Russian invasion on the Facebook page.

On Independence Day, she made butter and cheese and delivered them to families whose members serve in the Ukrainian army.

According to UA SOUTH, the occupants were interested in the whereabouts of the daughter of the Nykytenkos - 28-year-old Khrystyna. The girl has been living in Kyiv for a long time. She works as a photographer. After the beginning of the large-scale aggression, she shared details of the crimes of the occupants in the south of the country.

The family assumes that Lyudmila is being held in Melitopol. One of the collaborators of the so-called city commandant's office told Leonid Nikitenko: “It’s too early to let her go. We need to check her carefully.”

Lyudmila Nykytenko, according to her husband, is accused of surrendering Russian positions in the occupied Melitopol district.
