WHERE IS SERHIY KAPTYOL?

His wife, Maryna saw Serhiy's car in the city without a license plate and with Russian military men inside.

Serhiy Kaptyol from Melitopol disappeared more than six months ago. On March 7, he left his hometown for the free territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, and since then there has been no contact with him.

A 49-year-old man gave 25 years to the Ukrainian army. He was repairing planes at the Melitopol airfield. Two years ago, he retired with the rank of ensign and finally took up his favorite activities - gardening and hunting.

On that fateful day in March, Serhiy went to his parents. His wife doesn’t know which checkpoint he was crossing to leave the occupied territory. Maryna raised an alarm in the evening of the same day when she found out that her husband had not reached his home village. In the morning she went to the occupation commandant offices. None of the Russians answered the question of where her husband was. And in a few days, Maryna saw Serhiy's car in the city without a license plate and with Russian military men inside. Therefore, her main version of her husband's kidnapping was a conflict at the checkpoint. The occupants most certainly stopped Serhiy to take his SUV, and the former military man could fight back.

In August, representatives of the Red Cross informed Maryna that the Russians had confirmed that Serhiy was in their captivity. But they do not say where exactly he is being kept.
