Tribunal in Crimea. Nariman Dzhelal sentenced to 17 years

The occupational "Supreme Court" of Crimea sentenced Nariman Dzhelal and the Akhtemov brothers to capital punishment.

The occupational Crimean court found guilty the deputy chairman of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelal and the brothers-activists Asan and Aziz Akhtemov.

Aziz Akhtemov was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony, a fine of 500,000 rubles, and 1 year with a restriction.

Asan Akhtemov was sentenced to 15 years in a strict regime colony, a fine of 500,000 rubles, and 1 year with a restriction.

Nariman Dzhelal was sentenced to 17 years in a strict regime colony, a fine of 700,000 rubles, and 1.6 years with a restriction.

At the trial, Nariman Dzhelal and the Akhtemov brothers were wearing T-shirts reflecting the commitment of the Crimean Tatars to Ukraine. Nariman Dzhelal had a T-shirt with the words "two flags, one country" and intertwined coats of arms of Ukraine and the Crimean Tatar people. Aziz Akhtemov had lines from the Ukrainian anthem and Asan Akhtemov from the Crimean Tatar anthem.
